Look at this.

Were three points behind Villa, and play them next at home.

And five points behind United.

All this despite today being the first game all season we've turned up for ninety minutes.

A lot depends on which Everton turn up next week and after that but if we manage to hit any sort of form then all is swell.

Mad league that.

Woulda been even better if Arse hadn't turned things around as well. I'm well worried about the Yak tho, we could really do with Louis not being completely broken. I still say everyone is [Poor language removed] this season, not one team has played to the their best, bar maybe Chelsea a couple of times. It's wide open. If we can start playing properly, the quality of our squad is right up there.

Im still hopeful they'll [Poor language removed] it up somehow.

Listening to their fans theyve been awful of late so maybe their luck will run out.

I have horrible feeling these fuckers are going to win it this year. United are coming back into form but that that World Club Championship comes around in December and they've given Liverpool a 5 point advantage. Chelsea are begining to look ragged under Scolari; Arsenal are bi-polar and dont stand a chance of winning the Premiership. It's like a perfect storm has come together to hand a second rate team the Premiership on a plate.

they wont win it, Chelsea and utd will come good, but the rest of the league is wide open this year, we've picked a typically crap time to go off the boil:@

I can only take positives at the moment- we are up in the upper reaches of the league and we still havent played consistently well this season.

AGREED

Considering how [Poor language removed] we've been all year 7th right now is great. WHEN we start performing like this week in week out it's europe all the way

Im fairly confident Liverpool will mess up eventually and i cant wait for Mings head to explode, its the [Poor language removed] ffs theyve as much durability as an Iceland own brand battery!

Im all for optimisim but im a little concerned about how any further injuries and suspensions may effect us in the middle to latter part of the season. If we can keep Arteta, Cahill, Saha, and vitally Pienarr fit im really optimistic.

If we could get a midfelider in on loan and possibly a covering striker for Saha id be more confident.

But we are in a great position now, the responsibility is ours to kick on, its vital that we pick up points during the new year as you know the citys, spurs etc will start hitting form when the weather gets warmer.

Our Squad is only begining to be tested now in terms of depth and injuries and suspensions i feel are going to be key.

Liverpool are in a bit of a false position. They've ridden their luck in a few games. They don't have that look of unbeatability which you normally expect of champions.

I'm more concerned about us. Based on our performances, we're in a bit of a false position too, but then none of the other teams in contention for UEFA places are looking very consistent either. I reckon UEFA places are up for grabs to anyone from Spurs upwards who can really get their act together in the second half of the season. It's going to be doubly difficult for us given our injury problems, we're going to need a lot more performances from our midfield of the calibre they showed at White Hart Lane.

Ha ha get in you Beauty:

2153: Felled Gerrard? Penalty area? Last minute? Referee Peter Walton keeps his arms firmly by his side. And then blows his whistle, Full time.

Hel be sacked tomorow!
