Oh . No worries , lid .

( Whispers ; Who paid ??? )

We both did. Jeff was on crutches, so it was a long and hard journey for him. Took us literally hours to get from the ground to a hotel near the train station, to get a cab back to Waterloo. True blue that Jeff lid, the pain he was in was hard to watch it really was.

Can't drive, won't drive.

I've been driving since I was old enough. Had my lessons and tests (all three) in an Austin A40 and my dad loaned me the deposit to buy a car after I failed my second test (I think he was worried if he didn't do so I'd buy a motorbike instead) and sat with me as I drove around with L plates fitted, getting more practice. It was a 1964 'smoke grey' Austin Mini. I still remember the reg - 909 HLO (it would have been a B reg but some parts of the south didn't start using letters until 1965)
