Problem is Goat our wingers with Kev injured are utter gash

McGeady/Pienaar/Atsu ffs

No arguement from me there.

Really thought Aids would make it, but as it stands hes beyond terrible, Pienaar seems to have lost about 15 yards of pace over the last 12months and has been utter crap since we re-bought him and Atsu? God bless the little fella but its unlikely he will make it in this league.

But its about balance, clearly Martinez realises our wingers are turd, hence him playing anybody he can but freaking wingers on the wing, but the team needs shape and BALANCE, without this it becomes disjointed and leads to the utter dross we have witnessed recently.

When teams from the bottom 6 go to predominantly harder grounds like Goodison/Anfield/Old Trafford/WHL etc, How do they set up? Would you say most of the time they set up looking to get one on the break, Soaking up the pressure? Maybe sneak one from a set piece?

Its nothing new, Its not being sussed out, It happens every week to clubs

Do you think Stoke beat City the other week by going on the attack?

I know its nothing new mate, i just feel that teams sit back against chelsea and such because they know chelsea will hurt them, they sit back against us under martinez because they know we hurt ourselves by meaningless passing at the back and midfield. I know that seems confusing but just take a minute to see the different reasons/tactics behind sitting deep vs everton and say chelsea.

Teams sat deep against Moyes and often came away with something, What's different? Lower teams play deep against better sides

SHOCKED

Bingo

He knows our wingers are gash, We don't even have a decent youth player to blood

Pace is needed badly

Just read an interesting article about Borussia Dortmund on World Soccer. Teams have found them out it says, Klopp never makes the right substitutions, they are ponderous at times. Sounds familiar, one thing there doesn't seem to be is a call for Klopps head, only half way through the season and the team are good enough to still challenge their fans are saying. Can't beat a Germans logic and optimism as they are second bottom.

I'm as down hearted as the next blue but let's get some perspective here and back the team and the manager, calling for Martinez to be sacked is just madness. Sure I read somewhere that some blues want Pulis in charge, FFS.

We need to make Goodison somewhere away teams don't want to come to, we can do something about that by turning it from a f'ing graveyard to a cauldron. As soon as we pass it back now there are trains all over the place. Get behind the f'ing team
Interesting that so many people are saying we have been found out, when I posted this earlier in the season I got absolutely slaughtered. Jose Mourinho showed the whole prem how to stop lukaku, and the other managers just press our fullbacks and let distin have it. we are so predictable

I agree the options are not great but I think they can still do a job. On Saturday, we didn't need our wingers to create. We just needed them to combine with our fullbacks and let Barkley attack centrally. It would have balanced the team enough to allow our attack to progress effectively. We have had little success when we try to cram 3 central players into the starting XI. Why the manager cannot recognize this and adjust is extremely frustrating.

100% agree

I have said for weeks that McGeady needs to have a run of games on the right

3-5-2 anyone?
yes
Did you notice the amount of times our 2 cb's were left 2 on 2 with pelle and long on Saturday. the idea is that your fullbacks come round on the cover( bit hard when they are both up front). Playing 3-5-2 in my eyes could solve a few problems we are having at the minute.
1 Take Barry out of dm and put him sweeper. (covers the wingbacks if they get forward and can come out and engage the oppo no:10 if they have one.
2, 2 up front gives us added pressing and help for rom.
3, allows for our gash wingers by playing coleman and baines as wingbacks
4 ross can play in deep quarterback role spraying passes or bursting forward.
5,Dogs of war in cm besic and mc carthy tackling anything that moves.
