I must live in a bubble because I had never heard of him until the links with us.

Perhaps you don't follow football outside of Everton. However believe me the bigger clubs, scouts and football fans knew about him. La liga is all over sky for the fans also

Got to admit I properly fumed when we bought Andy Johnson.....pretty tasty hat I had to eat though!

Lets be honest, if these forums existed in the 80's people would actually have had embolisms, the number of has beens and no marks Howard brought in. This is why i dont agree with this marquee signing nonsense, you buy what is required to fit into the puzzle. Andy Gray was finished when we got him, southall was a binman from Bury, Peter Reid had more broken bones than Richard Hammond, Sheedy was some no-mark from Liverpool reserves etc. Etc.

No one on this forum knows their arse from their elbow, but we are all blessed with hindsight, which makes us think we do! Trust the manager to get it right, bin the manager is they get it wrong, but they have to choose who they think will fit the gaps in the puzzle!

...Steve Walsh has done brilliantly bringing players in but he will know that the realisation of his efforts this window will only truly be measured by improvement next season. The signs are good but only time will tell.
I don't think any sensible heads thought it wasn't expected, apart from the nappy fillers who where upset he didn't arrive with a copy of FIFA and a dream team of FUT to show them when he left Leicester.
