Yeah it was higuta with the scorpion kick at Wembley and chilavert who took all the pens and free kicks although Jorge campos the Mexican scored about 30 in his career some were pens and some when he went outfield late in Games.

Scoring a blammo once every 100 games doesn’t mean he is good at finishing. He wouldn’t shy away from taking it though.

Yeah I'm not saying he'd be any good at it. It's just that with virtually no other options, I could see him wanting the challenge of it. 90% of penalties is in your head anyway - it's not physical

I always think if there’s a striker on the pitch and they don’t fancy themselves to hit the net from 12 yards then they have no business being a striker. Should always be the striker unless you have a specialist like Baines when it’s a given

Pickford, but realistically it can't be him so right now i would use McNeil. With a fully fit squad i would use Townsend to take them over DCL or Gray if he was on the pitch but i don't want him on the pitch. Really does hit home how poor we are when there is literally no first 11 outfield player i trust to regularly take pens.

I definitely get the Pickford shouts, however and in TRUE EVERTON STYLE he would smash it against the crossbar and the ball would then loop over everyone, traveling 115 yards into Pickford's unguarded goal !!!

I think even if they were both on the pitch, I believe it would go to McNeil over Gray. Just my gut that Gray isn't a great penalty taker. Not that McNeil is either, mind

Mcneil strikes the ball cleanest, but I'm not sure he has the mental side of a pen taker. Not exactly any standouts, but you never know, rhino didn't exactly fir the mould but he was an absolute killer from the spot
