Reckon he's not a bad idea - cover for centreback as well as the deep midfield role.

This season, we're going to have a lot of weeks when we have 2 matches to play, we seriously do need to fill out the squad and not just be filling the bench with kids - we'll be losing Castillo, so need someone in that area and he would be better than Alan Smith!...

Remember reading somewhere that he's a real oddball though...

Hey that's not a bad thing. You could form a pretty formadible squad by just getting Wigan players. Palacios, Baines, Valencia, Melciot, McCarthy, N'Zogbia, Kirkland, Scharner, Rodeliga, Moreno (if he improves) et.al.

He's a squad player but has the ablility to suprise you with a scrappy goal. If anything it'd be nice to see him not score against us anymore.

yeah, id do like for like swaps so we can go into the last 3 games not knowing what league we'll be in next season, they haven't sold hardly any s.t.'s for next year cos of that.

So you would ignore getting a player just because he's playing for Wigan? Never knew we'd be so arrogant to think we'd soil ourselves grabbing a player from such an unglamourous side with the sole reason being that their fans suck. Let the Man Utds and Real Madrids go to the JJB to scout/sign the likes of Palacios and Valencia. Those guys aren't good enough for us.
