That's all they've ever been. UKIP are the Dad's Army of politics. I doubt many of the 4million people who voted for them in 2015 did so because they really believed in them, it was more a case of not wanting to vote for establishment party's. Nigel Fararge was what the bulk of UKIP voter's seemed to support rather then the party itself and with him gone they stand no chance, I wouldn't be surprised to see them draw less then a million votes whenever the next election is held.
