Part of me wants to keep it in house...

Rhino what a guy. Went to West Ham and got homesick after one day, brilliant I once got 20/1 first goal scorer on him when he was taking free kicks for a bit. Remember his first season though? I thought he was going to be a world beater. Nice to see him doing well now but if it's an in house job it has to be Big Dunc. Hibbo though would be amazing.

Oh I hear you. That's actually my opinion too. But as said part of me is a bit of romantic, and fears for the future of the academy lads at Everton. I'd rather win trophies mind, but there's something to be said for having Everton men in charge of Everton Football Club.
It's deffo romantic: especially with Unsworth glowing about how Everton is the only club he'd love to manage, and how "massive Evertonians" like Dunc, Royle and Ebbrell are involved:

.
But on the other hand he first says "win, lose or draw it's just important we get a performance from the players". Then later he says "a win is an absolute must to send the fans out on a high".

He's also got only superlative words for Martinez, no hint that there might've been some unrest. And he's honoring Roberto's wish that Howard gets game-time just so he receives a 'special send-off for his fantastic services' to the club.

I really like Rhino, and would love for Evertonians to manage & coach our club, but I'm not sure if he'll have the temperament to really push us on to where we wanna be.

I've just watched this and thought, why the hell not. Let him and Joe do it. They are proud passionate Evertonians. That's what has been missing for a lot of this season-pride and passion. *dabs eyes with tissue and starts to watch soppy film*

Now all of me wants this. Hell all we need is to keep our best players, get rid of the deadwood, promote 5 kids, and sign 1 or 2 veterans with quality. We're not lacking talent. We're lacking a mentality. And pretty sure we wouldn't leak goals under Unsy.

He does technically have the best defensive record of any Everton manager...

Not sure about those wanting unsy to take over on a permanent basis. Rather he stayed with the U21's as he is doing a great job there.

I think we should get the very best person available and that's Jose, a winner to shake things up and move to the next level.

Rihno's time will come just don't him drummed out the club when things get tough

If we can get Jose, I'm in. Other than that not arsed about some continental type who doesn't get Everton.

With a mentor-like appointment and him as assistant for a few years, sure. This is a good win, but it does not change our season.
