I could have put my mortgage on Davek posting this.

But, back to the point - apparently they cant because of the (IT)estate involved, i'm the middle of
3 legal firms merging 6 offices, (IT is my bit ) and over 600 people, this equates to roughly 4 months of planning, 12 days of labour.

I fail to see how Everton (or whoever is PM'ing it, has balled this up)

Why haven't they said that? Not saying it isn't true like. It'd just makes sense to give that detail.

And it might have been a good idea to have sorted all that out before preparing the site for work:

Davek in sensible post shocker!!!!!

I agree, give the fans a better explanation, most of them will appreciate it.

Others will use it as an anvil to clap them over the head and run threads designed to show Everton in a bad light, eh?

Besides the way people are over-reacting you'd think that Elstone, Ross and Kenwright were doing the job themselves.

I saw it on the icliverpool site. Cited IT as a reason.

Also, I see bellefield is being bulldozed as we speak.

Children.....I think....that if we all just try hard enough and wish with all our hearts, then we can make this into something special....an issue where Everton are at the cutting edge of best business practice, an example to others. All together:

"When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires will come to you

If your heart is in your dreams, no request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star as dreamers do

(Fate is kind, she brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of their secret longing)

Like a bolt out of the blue, fate steps in and sees you thru
When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true"

Is it coincidence that the Sodexo contract expires in 2011 ?

Everton have been removed from Sodexo's website too..

It was here: http://uk.sodexo.com/uken/services/...re-and-hospitality/prestigenews/evertonfc.asp It was an article from 2006 saying Everton had a 5 year deal.

It may be that the upfront fee required from a partner isn't readily available. I'm not stirring the ladle, I'm speculating. :) "Legal issues" covers contract negotiation afterall..

It's now been delayed a total of nine months and IT is given as the reason. I can't see how IT is proving to be the problem for a building that houses a museum, café, and hospitality. I could understand if the offices were to be left in the main building of Goodison until the end of season but for the rest it makes little sense to me.

This is an extract from an article on the KEIOC site from Friday morning:

Further examples of this contemptuous relationship are numerous; shareholders were told construction of the boards latest solution to our inept commercial ability, the development at the park end, was due to commence in December, following the West Bromwich home game, yet nothing has happened. The little known official explanation, that some minor "legal difficulties" are being experienced, is being offered, yet for some time now KEIOC's information, from their club source, has indicated that "funding difficulties" are the greater problem as, yet again, Everton discover that there's no such thing as a free lunch, that mysterious and unexplainable deals aren't as cash positive as one would like to think and that nothing is, dare we say, effectively free. The fans and shareholders are, as ever, being kept completely in the dark as to the degree of concessions to our "partners"; concessions that may benefit them greatly yet see us firmly at the bottom of the premiership club commercial revenue generation league; a result that highlights Everton's commercial performance equating to just 11% of our total income whilst our peers deliver double and treble this amount.

if it were but a simple mix up or lack of communication, but when you look at the track record of the clubs heirarchy ,you begin to see a pattern of errors, lies, spin and total f##king uselessness, that lot couldnt plan a birthday party for an infant.

I see EFC as a dynamic business that responds to changing events in a complex and uncertain world. EFC will always respond in a controlled manner with the interests of the footbaal club first; who knows what the reasons are but it will be for the benefit of the club. As others have pointed out in this thread who's to say this isn't part of the greater plan of actually selling the club, is there a deal imminent?
