Nearly missed plucky unglamorous Scot Laura Muir qualifying for the 1500m final as I was waiting for overdressed BBC1 host Balding to announce the race. She's busy yacking on the couch to Chris Hoy and some mouthy blonde who is clearly heading for Strictly eventually.
