If he's charged with misconduct Ashley can, and likely will, sack him and not have to pay up his contract - I reckon that's why Newcastle as a club are keeping a low profile. They'll be hoping for the highest possible penalty from the FA so they have a reason to jib him off at no cost.

and so they should. they're going to be in freefall next season - more to do with the chairman than manager i must add and he'll eventually have to sack him because of on-field results.

ashley gave him a long contract because he thought he was a wonderman, it's since been proved that it was a one-off. i'd sack him if i were in his shoes, no seconds thought. pretend to give newcastle a better image as well
