For the reasons other have stated.

If we had Owen, I would only want to pay him for goals and assists in the first season, then if he proves value..only then give him a permanent contract. Aint ever gonna happen!!

If both were available on the same wages, then Owen. But he obviously will want far more money (and not on a pay as you play basis), and so I don't think he'd be worth the money.

Owen played more games and scored more goals last season. Saha links up play better and would assumedly cost less wages. I think Saha is better suited to being the 1 in a 4-5-1.

Neither will set the world alight for us. I'd be very surprised if either would score 20 league goals over two seasons.

Saha by a mile. Owen is only ever match fit when hanging on a 13 year old girls wall as a poster but not in real life.

I've never seen such a fragile guy, if there will ever be a second part of the movie "Unbreakable" he would for sure be taken to play the part of "Mr Glass".
