I think some people are in denial about how bad we are at present.
There's not even any guarantee that we'll be able to sign any quality players in January as we all know it's notoriously hard to convince teams to sell during the season and we don't even know how much money we will have left to spend after blowing loads.
I would take Allardyce. He's an underrated manager and our best bet of turning the season around before we go in to freefall, which is likely to happen if our defence isn't sorted out.
The truth is any manager that comes in is going to struggle with the first team players we have and it's foolish to assume we'll buy good players in January. We'll do very well if we get 1 or 2 decent players in.
