Out of contract in May!

Andrea Consigli, the goalkeeper from Atalanta in Italy, is available on a free in the summer. He's a very good keeper.

Also Antoliy Tymoschchuk from Bayern, althoigh 33, still has two years in him imo, and could be a good option to replace Phil Neville in central midfield ().

Then bigger names such as Keisuka Honda, Thomas Ince, Douglas (FC Twente, centre back) and Miralem Sulejmani from Ajax (striker) are available to be had on frees.

I'd take all of those in my list there.

Obviously we'll be in for none of them, but it'd be a smart move.

Why do we want his fella if we the club is about to be bought - see bill kenwight thread - runs

I think we'll renew Hitzlesperger's contract, and I don't really trust Tymo at centreback anymore, so he would be superfluous IMO

Fulham captain Brede Hangeland has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until at least 2015.

The Norway international has agreed a two-year extension to his current contract, with an option for a further year.

Hangeland arrived from FC Copenhagen in January 2008, helping the club to Premier League survival that term, and has gone on to make 236 appearances.

"I'm delighted," he told the club's official website.

"It's taken a long time but we're there now. I hope the club is happy; I'm certainly really happy to have signed.

"I've loved my time at Fulham. It's been a little over five years and I've felt right at home from the beginning. I couldn't really see myself leaving so to know I'm here for a few more years gives me a great feeling."

Good on him for being loyal but I'm surprised there weren't teams the qualify for Europe asking about him. Looks like a solid defender and would look better with better players around him.
