A full throttle Kanchelskis would`ve got in any team in the world at that time.

He was going to be in my “second best greatest top ten ever” list! I did consider him, but couldn’t honestly replace anyone in my top ten listed!

he is well in his 80’s though, and I suppose there will always be players special to a certain generation.

Hi Dario,he may have beaten Nevs appearance record but for the war, but I know an elderly Blue in his 80s who watched both keepers and says Southall wins by a country mile

Amazingly, there is a distinct shortage of Trevor Steven in this thread, him and big Neville were the real class of the 80s team

Trevor Steven or Tricky Trev was my favourite player from that great 80s team. Such a skilful graceful player. Regularly scored double figures and assists. Could play centrally and even up front if I remember in one game. However listening to my dad, he said he wasn’t good enough to break up the holy trinity midfield it shows you how good they must have been then.

Bobby Collins and Ray Wilson were very special players and would have been special in any era to be honest so,pay attention to your old man!!

My Dad, also in his 80s, would have Alex Young in every Top 10 you care to mention.

According to that 1970 documentary posted on here Mr Dario deffo state cleaning Bally boots and breaking them in for him deffo felt he had played his part in winning the league for us lol
Amazing must have been a cue to clean Bally boots then
