meh
Just take it one game at a time, then see come the end of May

edit; The stats say 20/21

but for obvious reasons would really, really, like 33, which added to our 40...

I'll say (history shows I am likely to be right unfortunately) we'll take fewer than 6 points from the games against Spurs, Liverpool, United, Chelsea and Arsenal. Let's go with 5, picking up a surprise win, two draws and two expected defeats. From the rest I can see around 20 points. That makes 25 points from 39, which ain't too shabby, but won't be anywhere near enough for a top 6 place.

66 points. United are already on 48 so will clearly pick up more than 18 points, and the gap is simply too much with us traveling to Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs.

I'd bet my house right now on us finishing 7th. We won't move out of that position from this point onwards this season.

Edit: And moving from 11th to 7th and slightly behind the teams above us, in one season, with a good transfer window hopefully upcoming, that's a good thing. Just frustrating appalling performance in the cups which must change. It may also get is into the Europa League, so that's brilliant if it ends up that way.

Did it myself and predicted the exact same results.

Would put us on a very respectable 62. But also shows why we were never in with a shout for the top 4 as we both reckon we will get 1 point from 12 against the top 6 sides away.

Nobody would be surprised if we lost all of the games against every team ahead of us in the league from now until season end. I see the Chelsea one, funnily enough, as the most likely one we have of taking points in. That's why we still have a long, long way to go.

Sunderland (H) | 4-0
Tottenham (A) | 2-0 (Poch Euro hang-over)
West Brom (H) | 1-0 (boring Pulis fare)
Hull City (H) | 3-0
Liverpool (A) | 2-0 (we get to pick the ref this time)
Man Utd (A) | 0-0 More Mou-ning about their luck
Leicester (H) | 2-2 cos we never beat them at home.
Burnley (H) | 2-0
West Ham (A) | 2-1 (conceding first of course)
Chelsea (H) | 2-1 (on the beach)
Swansea (A) | 2-0
Watford (H) | 2-0
Arsenal (A) | 1-0 sad farewell for Arsene (Sanchez misses another peno) as we scrape 4th and they and Man U miss out - RS finish 7th!!!

Anyway that's only 35 points.. You can dream can't ya?
