How's that match preview coming on Damo?No mate. My arse never went. It's still here.

I think you've got the gist of it mate, its great you've actually reached out for feedback (I rarely see this done elsewhere, at least not genuinely) as there have been areas that need improvement/change in approach IMO, I've seen and had some dissatisfaction with how some things have been managed from a number of posters.Disappointed that this thread has deteriorated into a complete waste of time - for me at least.
Several on here - similar to the miserable arl git at the bar who thinks he owns it, are very quick to cite 'the old days' and quick enough to moan about the present - but when the moderators look for some feedback, they offer nothing by way of sensible, genuine feedback and/or solutions. Instead, they in effect, sabotage a genuine attempt to improve the forum with a load of nonsense... well done you.
Still, nice one to the few who contributed in response to the opening post - I've concluded;
- Majority consider the existing moderation to be very good;
Others want moderating to be more strict, others less strict - wanting more 'popcorn' and freedom to 'take the piss' for 'fun'. This is fine, but of course it's all down to context. This is what I'd encourage moderators to follow as a rule of thumb;
As for immediate improvements for the new season;
- More moderators, consider time zone.
- Improvements
- Users to see see their own warning points.
- Consider changing weighting of warning points, particularly for off topic posts;
- More leniency outside the Everton forum - less thread bans/thread closures.
To conclude, I think it's worth highlighting that some would do well to remember that moderators on here are volunteers who do their best to make this place the best place on the internet for Evertonians. We won't always get it right, but it's not all on the moderators to make GOT be the best it can...

At the end of the day you can't please anyone, but nonetheless thanks for giving it a go, and providing us this place where we can chat Everton, bumming and pasties on the interwebs.
Come on mate, the nose needs to be brown

I lie awake at night worried what you think.
...
Er no.
The moderators have already piped you down in this thread more times than the Brexit told lies during the referendum.
So on that Damoexit.
You yearn for his attention and approval. You are desperate for recognition and acceptance. Hence the constant tagging of other posters, despite several warnings to stop it. It's painful to watch sometimes as you do all you can to be somebody's friend, to be accepted and not ridiculed and laughed at.I lie awake at night worried what you think.
