Our Next 5 Games: Make or Break for Koeman?

He's going to get a minimum of two years of his three year contract, by which time he'll have no excuse if we're not much closer to the established top 6.

Big window ahead, and an even bigger window next summer - I remain totally confident Walsh and Koeman will deliver.

That's not exactly true, if (and I'm not saying it will happen) but we ended up in the bottom 3 by February with a possibility of relegation pretty sure his contract will be paid off.

Football has no guarantees esk, none whatsoever

I would say only if the ship is steadied in the next few months, Esk.

If we get to the business end of the season, in March, and this slump has barely abated and we are knee deep in the relegation mire I will be amazed if he is not axed.

Treading water in mid table will buy him those two years......so we need to shape up pretty quickly.

Firstly, I don't see us in the bottom 3 or anywhere near there, secondly we're not a firing club and finally it's quite clear he's got a project with a delivery date of 3 years. I said two years might see him out if he's not progressed but that's the only circumstances I can see him leaving before 2019.

What roughly do you believe would have been his objective this season mate?

I don't see us near the bottom three, but like I said there's no guarantees in football and if we are, his position become's questionable. Now it's a totally different argument if you say "a minimum of 2 years on the proviso we are there are there about to our previous PL finishes".

I reckon 4 points from those games, A win at Hull and a draw at home to Saints, last season showed me that when you expect these players to react and put a performance out, it never materializes, they'll let you down time and time again.

I think at the beginning of the season Europa League qualification would have at the top end of expectations, 7th would have represented a very good first season and in the bottom half a poor season.

I'd say now EL qualification is not likely unless we win the FA Cup, 7th is still possible because other than the top 6th there isn't really a stand out team in the remainder, but that will require (obviously) quite a turn around in performance. Realistically 8/9th.

I'd have thought top half was essential this season. Anything less is pretty poor. Any hint of relegation threat is unacceptable tho.

Next season Europe is a must.

Can't see any reason why we shouldn't be finishing 7th, nothing like good enough to challenge top 6 but if we were to hit form again then should be comfortably better than everyone else. Talk of relegation is absolute nonsense and that is from someone at Watford yesterday and as angry there as anyone. Make 4 good signings and lose the dross.

Fired Martinez without any delay, every club is a firing club when the right times comes, not that I am saying it has but once it does vaarwel Ronald
