Generally speaking, if a player stays loyal, unless he’s already at a top club, it means he ain’t very good.

coming on here and bashing Hibbert when the state we are in. you deserve everything.

This nomination may not find universal endorsement but I feel Yannick, in turning his back on Villa to bring his eyebrow-raising football skills back to mighty Everton, merits him a part in any conversation discussing incredible loyalty...

My vote goes for Oumar Niasse. Try as they might to make it clear he was neither wanted nor needed, Oumar stuck to his guns, determined to show the Gwladys Street faithful that he was here now and for the future. Even when Cardiff came-a-callin', Oumar insisted on a mere short-term move as he knows his spiritual home is at Goodison Park. I hope and pray he'll still be here in 2029.

When I was a very young lad, I went to a camp (in Ngarahuwahia*) and felt pangs of homesickness. Thus I can empathise with those suffering the debilitating impact of this affliction. Given this, I would like to nominate Snail Keane for induction into Everton's 'most loyal player' Hall of Fame.
This lad is bursting with homesickness; he's almost in tears everytime you see him. That he is prepared to stick it out here on Merseyside, so far from his family home and his mummy, speaks volumes for the loyalty he has for our giant club.

Actually, after giving this some more detailed thought, I'd like to give a special mention to wee James McCarthy. After a long and arduous pursuit, we were able to lure him from FA Cup winners Wigan Athletic, and gee did our hard work for the talented scotch boy pay off! The fans may not appreciate young James, but he's made it clear that he doesn't need to prove his dedication and loyalty while actually on the football field. I think we ought to offer him a new contract.

I would like to second your nomination. To leave Wigan took a lot of courage...they were FA Cup winners after-all. And I imagine that, behind the scenes, young James has had numerous suitors seeking his signature. That he has stuck with Everton speaks volumes for his loyalty.
And yes, like you Sam, I would expect Blue Bill to reward this 'family member' with a lucrative new contract.
