Anyone know why or how we let Tom Donegan leave our winning youth team to sign for Fulham last week?
I haven't seen him play,but he seemed an integral part of the midfield providing plenty of assists and goals.

this shocked me too, I went to the final and he was by far the best player on the pitch that day, can't believe we've let him go.

He's a year older than Ross Barkley and although he is a decent player, Barkley is way superior. They also offered him a better deal.

that's good to hear. hope we see Barkley integrated into the team this year.

I was there too and thought the same about Donegan. Obviously the opposition on the day agreed with us if that's where he's gone. I'll keep an eye on his progress hope we don't have to spend millions to get him back in 6 or 7 seven years like we did with Jagielka and Baines.

Time for Baxter to step up next season or he'll be on his way out next summer. Chelsea offered me £2.5m on Football Manager and I just couldn't turn that sort of money down for him.

Tom was told weeks ago even before the Final at Fulham he was going, he had gone for a trial at one of the Bristol clubs 3 days before we played at Fulham. I was surprised he had been released because i rated him too but the coaching staff obviously felt he wasn't worth a contract. Good luck to him and hope all works out

No news on Dier and i would not expect him to return

Ok mate, I heard a year or so ago that Bidwell was similar to Hibbert (ultra defensive) whilst Garbutt was more like Baines and as such we played him left midfield...

I hope they both come through.

Duffy, Gueye, Vellios Imo should be getting game time next season.

It'd be criminal if Duffy doesn't get blooded and plays in the first team next season

no he's great. but sporting will want to keep him, or sell him somewhere else for bigger money.

Baxter has looked a prime candidate for being loaned out for years but it doesn't seem we want to do it for whatever reason. He's seemed to be in purgatory between the reserves and the first team for about the last year, 4 or 5 months in the Championship playing for a decent side could be the making of him. Blackpool did the business with Coleman and they'll be looking for attacking/skillful players (that's what Baxter is isn't he?) with Vaughan, Adam and Campbell all apparently on their way - why not give them a bell?
