Who the hell are our players to tell anybody to do anything?

They are probably shaking their head because he is running about making space for a pass which they do not do themselves.

We play better and look much more threatening with him in the team.

Yet win less points with him in the side, I thought it was only the end result that matters?

If you can’t see that you’ve just implied their “talent” was at similar level then I give up.

P.s. I could compare myself to Messi if I wanted, it wouldn’t be inaccurate, compare does not always mean similar. Get a better grasp of the English language before you start pulling people up. Amusing indeed

No, you have assumed something wrongly (again). I have no control over that whatsoever. I merely pointed out that pure talent/ability whatever is not all you need as a footballer to which you have (wrongly) assumed that I have directly compared Messi to Trundle and laughed about it even though you did not comprehend the (pretty straightforward) point remotely (again).

Sorry what

Sigh....

Lee Trundle is a tremendously gifted footballer. He could (actually still does) score ridiculous goals for fun and do tricks and skills that are out of this world.

He is also a fat lazy waster who moves like a glacier. So his "talent" doesn't really matter if he hasn't got the rest of his game to make up for it.

Conversely Niasse can cover his lack of natural "ability" by making up for it with athleticism, work rate and having a knack of getting on the end of things.

It's not really that hard is it?

Yeah, I agree. But you did say Lee Trundle was as talented as Messi. I’m sure he was more talented than a lot of players who had a better career than him, but Messi is a bit much.

How many goals has Messi scored in the League of Wales eh?

Still got it...

No fair enough, as long my point makes sense more than my example. Maybe Le Tissier and Shearer may have been a better example.

Haha, when I saw your original post on the matter I actually thought "it's not being at stone and a fan of Strongbow pie and mash that's the key to success".

I am now revising my lifestyle.

Niasse is fast becoming my favourite player, he's one of the only ones to show serious effort today, Walcott did ok as did Davies when he came on. But with Niasse he always is trying best, also when others are injured he's straight up to them to see they are ok, he just seems like a likeable bloke. At the moment he is by far our most threatening striker. If we can sort out the mess behind him he could get quite a few goals, he's always there or there about to score.
