I'm sorry, but anyone who watched him last night and doesn't think he is severely wanting at this level needs to re-assess their understanding of the game. He has the first touch of a trampoline and when he has to take more than one or two touches, he's literally the worst premier league footballer I've ever seen.

There were a couple of times when he went to take someone on and he didn't seem to know what to do. I think the time he has spent on a football pitch in his life is probably around 1/10th that of anyone else out there.

The touch he took which gave Schmichael the ball when he was on a break was horrible. It's not the first time he's done this. What would be 1 in 100 level mistakes for decent premier league players are 1 in 5 mistakes for him.

He is obviously athletic, has a weird knack for being able to make effective passes after taking only a single touch (something he seems incapable of when he has time to think) and he has an eye for goal. Great athleticism and instincts and horrible skill.

But most of all, he seems like a genuinely nice bloke who is a real trier. Doesn't mean he's good enough to play for us.

Well, I have to admit, he's finally won me over. As far as I'm concerned he should be our regular starter, he's the most effective we have at any rate. Calvert-Lewin who I still rate highly for the future should be behind him.
Now, I need a new whipping boy........Oh , hello Cenk, you German/Turk muppet! :)

Using him to stretch and bother defender like yesterday is a good move. He might be clumsy, but his work ethic and willingness to hunt after every ball makes up for some of his short-comings. I still think he should be behind Cenk in the striker que, and he will be, but he’s a good tool for a spesific job. He’s also proven to be effective as an impact sub, which will probably be his main role here.

Before he came here I struggled to see what Tosun could bring to us , he doesn't seem to excel at any aspect, be it heading, shooting or dribbling , competent certainly but nothing noteworthy, and he certainly wasn't a prolific goalscorer.
His two appearances have been likewise decent but decidedly unimpressive. I think we may see more of him towards the end of the season to better judge him.
For now I would much prefer to see Niasse and Calvert- Lewin get game time especially with the introduction of Walcott.

That's the Everton spirit! Complain about not signing a striker and then when we do, play someone else!
