Glad there seems to be this want to trim the squad of all the deadwood. January is sellers market. Its the perfect month to get rid of the deadwood in the squad, lower the wage bill and prepare the Club for the rebuild it needs. We've started the month getting rid of a 'problem' player and a player who want sign a contract, good start.

Next step is getting rid of those that are on decent wages but are contributing very little. The likes of Niasse, Besic, Stekelenberg wouldn't be missed by the squad if they were to leave.

People may scream 'Sell to Buy' but its something that needs to be done at the Club. We have a huge squad, id much rather get rid of the deadwood and sign players that will either become regulars or provide good competition. i.e. shifting Mirallas & Barkley contributes towards bring in Tosun which was needs must.

He has been great so far, granted. Just dont for a minute think it would continue.
