He was arrested 3 years ago on suspicion of assault and bailed pending enquiries. Nothing came of it so read into that what you will.He beat his girl up if I recall
I can't see us finding a buyer so he will ultimately go out on loan until his contract expires at the end of the season. It will represent a big waste of money but he will finally be gone. I felt sorry for him as he was poorly treated here but he is not the required standard and hopefully we will learn from this mistake.
....i’d never feel sorry for him, Everton have set him up for life.
Spouses very often drop charges. Must be extremely frustrating for the police. He was arrested 3 years ago on suspicion of assault and bailed pending enquiries. Nothing came of it so read into that what you will.
I think the whole not giving him a locker stuff under Koeman was really bad from the club to be honest
Outside of that though I agree, we've been good to him during the Martinez and Silva era
Niasse £13.5m, McCarthy £13m, Funes Mori £9.5m, Besic £4m, Robles a couple of millions, Tarashaj £3m, Galloway £1.5m and McGeady! All these were signed a couple of years ago...guess how much the money are worth now.
Didn't we make a profit on Funes Mori? Maybe not.
Robles was a free, You would probably get about the same back for Galloway, McCarthy broke his leg and if ever given a run of games I reckon you would see that money back, You would get around 5M for Besic and Tarashaj was highly regarded before coming here and his seemingly fell to pieces (it happens to young players and the price was about right at the time.)
So only Niasse who you may get around 10M for but his wages are a stumbling block.
So realistically you would probably get about the same back for them all told.
It happens at every club.
No. We did not make a profit for Mori according to the media report.
The players you mentioned above, we were struggling to get rid of them by loans. Nevermind some clubs pay to buy them.
I just think Martinez bought a lot of tosh. And he did the same thing like Walsh and Koeman.
All managers are guilty of that. You are cherry picking the players to suit your agenda by throwing in kids, free agents and players who probably would have turned a profit or have been useful if they didn't get battered with injuries.
I find the Niasse signing by Martinez weird purely because he is the antithesis of a Martinez player.
