I don't agree with it not being good that he is another option though. What do you get with Oumar? Chances. People can say (and do say) what they want about the lad but he always finds himself with chances. DCL and Tosun can spend whole games without a sniff of goal. No matter the situation, opponent etc, Niasse always seems to find himself in a position to score.

Of course some will then claim this is pure luck or something as opposed to actually conceding that he has intelligent movement and good positioning because he has no qualities etc.

The slating for him hitting the bar this past week is ridiculous too. Anyone can see that he was unsighted as Calvert Lewin went to head the ball first and missed it. He actually showed decent technique to get a shot off with that much power with a millisecond to react to it.

Ideally of course you want better, everyone wants better in everything, but he is a useful option and right now he offers more of a consistent goal threat than any of the strikers we have.

I genuinely think if he played week in week out he would be looking about 20 goals a season for us. He would also have just as many loose passes put into the main stand and incidents of tripping over his own feet. It depends where people are happy to trade off these sides of his game. Personally, give me the goals.

I think the millisecond bit could be a tad over the top. I also think that it maybe nice if Messrs O'Neill & Keane showed a bit of interest in Niasse, since
1947 Southern Ireland have shown more than an interest in selecting 'Foreign' players. Should Oumar then get injured whilst playing for Eire, he
could make a comeback with us and we can scream for him to be our captain. My arse!
 

Its amazing that Niasse has reverted back to when we signed him ,woefully not good enough and if Bassala Sambou can’t get ahead of this fella then There is no hope him
And Tosun out the door get more Richarlison type players in

It's not that amazing. He's never been a good footballer, he just popped up with a few goals at times last season

We're now playing a more technical style of football and that was always going to expose him

he's had a bad couple of games but he looked solid when he was playing with richarlison, if it's a choice between the three strikers id have tosun all day long, niasse should be in the circus or something

I don't mind Tosun to be honest. He did miss some chances this week but generally he doesn't get many chances to miss. Somehow, some way, Niasse always has chances, that is not down to pure luck, it's an ability he has and is good at it.

The circus stuff annoys me. He can obviously score goals and make chances so he has something to his game doesn't he? Fair enough if you don't rate him but to call him a circus act or whatever when he has proved that he can score goals in the top flight, against varying levels of teams and at two different clubs says that maybe, just maybe, he is not as useless as some people make out. I care about the end result, not how the player gets there and Niasse has an end result.

Can't say I disagree with your last sentence but we shall see.

He is an international footballer who has scored goals in multiple nations and in European competition.

That's Tosun's biggest problem, and its the opposite of what is wrong with DCL, as DCL gets loads of chances but typically misses them.

I'd rather a striker like DCL to be honest, someone who at least gets into goal scoring positions. Tosun is a very poor option imo.

Yes but how many does he convert into goals? As for Tosun looks like not quite good enough.
