Gotze and Thiago are not exactly like for like replacements for the players you mentioned. Can definitely see Shaqiri going out on loan at least and if they get a decent enough offer I think they will sell him outright.

I'd imagine AF would have been able to get people in at United a lot easier than Moyes will, and almost certainly AF would have been a major influence in players decisions to join United in the past.
