Nobody wants Everton do "do a QPR".

We want ambition. QPR wasn't ambition, it was pathetic, signing a bunch of mercinaries who had no feeling for the club whatsoever.

We want two or three players - not a whole squad.

When you hear the manager firstly talking about making use of a "global market", then see him making a free transfer and a 30 year old striker from the club he relegated last season as his first signings, you start to lose faith quickly.

The last 12 years have shown us there is no money, Kenwright himself confirmed it a few weeks ago at the AGM, so what evidence is there that this 5m for Kone won't be the bulk of our transfer war chest?

It's a dreadful signing, and a terrible start to the Martinez era if it goes through.

perhaps, though its the last year of his contract and they may actually make money by selling him now (given the saving in wages) - though they probably wanted to sell him to some english mugs for five or six times what Atleti paid

Gun jumped. Not yet confirmed but very likely. Of course it might not be Dan Gosling, it might be Dan Dare who can find space or bloody Desperate Dan for all I know.
Gayle might be a good buy for us Mikey, I agree. Has the style and pace of AJ apparently so need a good big man to play along side, or failing that, Carlton Cole. (kidding, I wouldn't mind him either.)

They are my Spanish team and always ALWAYS mess up the big league games. Do well in the Europa though but trust me mate they will not win the Champions League.
