He is still awful at the actual art of defending. My dad (Spurs supporter) hates how often he gets caught out at the back. His pace just covers him a bit more than most.

Rose is quite similar though in that regard isn't he? Well, he's an attacking fullback at least.

Surely Sandro and possibly Dembele will have to play quite deep to allow those two a bit more roaming or they'll get bummed.

But then I thought that about Baines and Coleman, but then they can both defend pretty well.

Rose, from what I have seen, can put his foot in a bit though. He is a good little player I think, certainly better than "Disco Benny".

I thought he looked Sunderland's best player at times and I seem to remember him causing us a couple of problems when we played them.

It annoys me though how Spurs can afford to loan out two very promising English fullbacks a couple of seasons apart and it barely affect their squad!

Spurs spent very big this season, considering they are not even in the CL are they? I dont think they will get into next year either, some very large fees for what look like gambles in Paulinho and this Soldado? £40m nearly.

Its not really a gamble when your about to sell a player for 100m.

[Poor language removed] - forgot about that swedish house loving chimp. Fair play, that penny pinching ming they have in charge is a belter of a negotiator.

Possibly not actually. I'd guess that he was on at least £60k there and that would probably be slightly out of West Brom's reach.

It's good for the MLS at least. That league growing and us having some sort affiliation with American fans (largely down to Howard and a bit of Donovan), can only be a good thing for us!

He was on around 90k/week at Spurs I believe, will be above 100k/week in Seattle.

Spurs are so close to being title contenders

You must glued to the transfer news every day mate

Are they? take out Bale out the team and how many would get in Man City, Man United or Chelsea's team? Vertonghan would be good back up at City, Walker's arguably better than Rafael, Sandro's boss but after that I'm struggling.

They have a lot of solid hands at the club. All they're lacking really is a striker to slot them away and maybe an extra defender

Bale provides the panache but the rest of the squad provide the base

They really are on the cusp of being very sucessful indeed

they have a good squad but it's not really in their nature to succeed. They'll find someway of ballsing up CL qualification probably. Arsenal have some catching up to do this summer with regards to transfers though
