Everton's transfer business hasn't been as whacko as some people on here like to make out? Both superb buys imo.

Relatively speaking those two transfers look excellent value.
If the rags want to pay 70m for Maguire then good luck to them.
Not to mention the wages that he will demand from them. I don't
think in anyway he will suit their style of play. Maguire likes to try and play
it out from the back. The rags don't play that way. They don't have the
players to do it. They have just bought Bissaka who doesn't play that way either.
He will improve them, but that is coming from a relatively low base. I'm not
mithered at all if City walk away at that price - it's not sensible business. But then again
what is 'sensible business' these days in football?

How do you get a Digne and a Gomes for £15 and 20 odd million respectively but Harry Maguire is going to cost you £70m plus?! Maguire isn’t a world class player by any stretch of the imagination. Mental.

Leicester don't want or need to sell, Digne and Gomes were surplus to requirements at Barca. Its very much a sellers market these days it seems. No doubt there are bargains out there to be had, but trying to sign one of the best players from a side 3 places below them in the table is not the way to find one.

I think people are being a bit harsh about him. He's better than most in the league but yeah as you say its obscene money for him

They're both good players tbf, it's just that English players are hugely overpriced because of the rules about you needing a certain amount of them in your squad
