They’ve bought good players but they’ve paid for them. Tielemans was 40 mill. Iheanacho and Perez were both hefty fees. Fofana was unbelievably expensive for a teenager. You’d think they put that team together on a shoes trying the way some go on about them. Just because we’ve wasted a load of cash doesn’t mean that most clubs throwing money around won’t eventually get a decent set of players together.
Sometimes if you want to improve you just have to pay the money I guess. Unless it’s Everton of course

We’ve bought poorly under Martinez Koeman Allardyce and Silva. There’s no denying that. The squad improved for the first time in ages after Carlo’s first summer window though. If it improves again this summer then that is all you can ask for. Moshiri has kept the cash coming whether that is for players, the stadium, or hiring and firing managers or DOFs. Money has not been an issue for us. If we have another good window under Carlo I’d expect us to be better next season and there’s no reason we couldn’t look to emulate what Leicester have done.

League title, Fa Cup, CL football, their policy of buying players under the radar and young talent is paying dividends.

They are punching way above their weight and have been for 5-6 years, and the most important thing is the fees they paid for those players they would all make a profit on them if the sold them and start repeating the process.

Looks like they are signing two young talents that will be announced when the season ends as well that have been in the works for months.

We have a long way to go to get to your 19 titles mate.

If you get Kane and Grealish, you will close the gap in no time. Until we get a quality team and can actually compete for the league which is at least a good few years away (assuming the recruitment is spot on) then i'd rather you win it at a stroll each year - Chelsea if not you. As long as its not them lot or Utd
