Very strange.

On the surface maybe, but it actually makes sense.

He has worked with and knows Ralf Rangnick already, and as much as people (me being one) hate the whole Red Bull thing in football, they do run their clubs very well. He'll get a group of excellent young talent to work with, suited to the syle of football he wants to play, they'll spend money on transfers. They are a well run machine. And makes sense career wise for him.

I meant more the 12month wait.

oh yeah that is odd, but it's pretty acceptable in Germany for some reason, that decisions and contracts / signings get made a long time ahead!

He was always stedfast in saying he wasn't going to leave Hoffenheim now, plus he has a release clause that comes into effect next summer. So I guess Leipzig have maybe paid a bit extra to get this arranged now.

Hoffenheim players knew he'd be leaving anyway, I don't see it affecting things too much for them, cos they are in the CL, so will be hugely motivated regardless.

But I can see it being a little unusual!

Still don't understand how he ended up going to Leicester. He was extremely brilliant for Genk, easily one of the best players they had in the last few years. You'd think other clubs would have noticed + he's very likeable. I would be amazed if he stays at Leicester for a longer time.
The likes of Arsenal and United are crying out for a player like him

Also very surprised he went to leicester (no offence)!

We could do with him in our team as well...

Whats all this about the scums putting in a £180,000,000 bid for Asenscio somebody please confirm its absolute rubbish, can’t have them being genuine title contenders ffs

OHL (same owner as Leicester) bought George Hirst. I don't know if he's any good, but they did manage to anger a lot of Swfc fans. Because he moved to OHL (and not another English club), they don't have to pay a compensation.

Good business, OHL will probably get a few millions for him from Leicester; a good way of investing in OHL within the confines of the FFP.

Pearson is their manager. This is suspicious as far as suspicious can go tbh.

Well it’s allowed tbf. I don’t like Pearson but I have to admit he’s doing good work at OHL and I think they have a real chance of promotion this year. Second last year, and it’s a hard division to play in with lots of pressure. It’s not like Leicester is giving them a whole bunch of substandard players. Only a few the majority is still local. Last year they had Eliot Moore, only seen 4 games of them but he looked like a decent player.

Oh no don't mean that he's not doing his job there. It's just... the ex-Leicester manager who is supposedly well thought of back at Leicester, "buying" players at his new club, owned by Leicester, with the idea to, effectively, sell/loan to themselves if he turns up good...

Seems a bit off really. Just something about the whole ordeal, you know?

What Man City did with Mooy and Lampard

Ah yes to me it seems normal since a lot of teams in that division are in fact satellite teams. The champion of last year is a satellite team of AS Monaco.
