Other Clubs Transfer Window 2025-2026.

Wolves and Bournemouth looking like they’re gonna be asset stripped this summer then
Some lovely players at Bournemouth to be fair. Huijsen already gone,, Kerkez to Liverpool, Kluivert pretty handy although form left him second half of the season, Semenyo quality, Evanilson has got potential, Outtara on the wing is decent, Alex Scott has big potential in midfield. I can't imagine Iraola will be keen on sticking around if he's forced to sell most of his best players.

Premier League Sunderland (still funny to think about), are losing probably our best player Jobe Bellingham to Germany. Frankfurt and Dortmund battling it out for him at the moment. Probably £25-30m for him.

It was all agreed at the end of the 2023/24 season he was off there after this year, so no shock here, or ill feeling, but still tough to take when you need to build a team that is trying not to beat all recordings for the lowest points total.
Can understand if ye didn't get promoted that he would head off to Germany but surely he will stay now and give it a go in the PL? Would seem daft not to imo

James Ratcliffe really is a derisible fellow, isn't he? From the mass redundancies to his declaration that significant amounts of public money is required for their new mega stadium. I couldn't be happier that they achieved a Premier League worst ever finish and couldn't even beat a pitiful Spurs in the Europa League final. Loads of players stuck on multi-year contracts earning about 5x more than they should be, up against it with the PSR, lovely jubbly.

Having seen how far off the pace the relegated teams have been the last two years, it might be an idea to jump ship now rather than be part of a team that could do worse than what we saw from the promoted sides this season.

I think first and foremost his family won’t let him anywhere near the PL (at least in the shorter term), it worked for his brother.

But as others have said, they’re really shrewd when it comes to his image and reputation - and realise that he can go to a team who will be in the CL and dominate the ball, vs. a team that will be battered every week.

FWIW I think it’s a good thing and more players should be thinking about the impact of signing for the wrong club just for a short term wage bump. When we were in our “banter era” we wrecked so many players careers who joined for the wages, and were made to look crap in our system/ the negativity around the place.

Was thinking the same about the Bellinghams' parents. They seem to be managing their sons' careers very carefully

Sheffield utd did the same though, came up and sold ndiaye to marseille and that didn't end up too well for them

On a separate note, seeing lots of talk about rashford wanting a champions league club....
Who exactly does he think is gonna be daft enough to take him on those silly wages?

That was the Prince doing that last minute, also sold Sander Berge on the eve of the season to really screw them over and give them no chance of staying up.

Sunderland big issue will be keeping g hold of the rest if their youngy core.

Rigg, Neil, Bellingham.

They've already lost Watson, so it's a case of getting replacements. Sheffield Uniteds owner just seemed to screw them.

Yeah but they genuinely didn't have any money. They were in mad amounts of debt and had they not been promoted that summer were going into administration. We're not in the same dire financial situation, this was just pre-agreed before the start of the season. Hence it's all getting done very early as we will replace. As with Sheff U we're going down, don't get me wrong though!

But our 8 years away from the big time we've actually sorted ourselves out behind the scenes, and we have been able to create a fantastic recruitment set up these days. Our entire squad cost 18m with one of the lowest wage budgets in the championship, and it challenged the parachute payment teams this season. So I'm extremely confident we have his replacement identified and ready to go - god knows who it'll be though. Probably either an academy player from one of the european top sides, or someone from a european league.

We also have the Hibs player of the year, an Aussie youngster, who we've been developing over the past few years who plays the same position - probably too bigger step up into the PL for him though.

Fair enough, hope you guys stay up, preferably with a league double over the skunks while you're at it

It`s a real tough one for promoted teams mate.

Do they go down the safety first route, like Norwich seem to do, not spend big and bank some money on the basis that they`ll probably go straight down.

Or do they do what Ipswich tried to do and failed, spend a shed load and try and stay in the division.

The jump in quality between divisions, just seems to be getting bigger every year.

Aye, although I have a feeling that Leeds might stay up this year you know. Not sure who'll come down though.

I think the gap is big and getting bigger (the five subs rule is a game changer as well), but there were some particularly unsuited clubs in recent years. Luton obviously, Sheff U with no money, Burnley with a team that in the champ was made up of loans they lost, Southampton with a style of play that was insane for this level, Ipswich with a double promotion and the same squad from league one etc.
