Say what you want about their targets, but Villa are getting them in early. Obviously we did the same in the Summer of the Number Tens, so not always an unmitigated positive, I grant you but still must be nice not to have that transfer thread panic at 11:59 on deadline day.

Signings in the 28-30 range on big money are more likely to go wrong than right. Like they came 14th last year. I dont think they are investing wisely.

I just dont think they are doing as good business as everyone thinks. And they seem to be paying very high wages. Its a high risk strategy.
All teams need a mix of youth & experience. I would be happy if we'd made their signings this Summer.
