its good to see so many rate ozzy so highly
i like leon and think he is a great little player for us, he battles, he causes problems to the oposition, hes got an eye for a goal and hes defo improving year on year

get back soon ozzy

It's bad news at such a important point to the season, we going to miss his ball control in the midfield, hope he come back sooner rather than later!

In the mean time we should be able to cope with this injure problem, let's hope as he was planning to recover in time for Carling Cup Semi-final match!

I think we all knew something was bound to happen its all going too well, its life and we'll live with it. Get back soon Ossie, have a good rest over Christmas lad.

gravesen put in his best half year for the blues when we switched to 4-5-1.

a very capable substitute!

that was before he went to madrid. He didn't make it into the celtic side and he hasn't made it into ours yet either.

more to this than meets the eye possibly?

Is he still the same player?

If he is, then we only need to find that first CL seasons form in the second half of the league to really push on.

Never thought I say this but losing Osman really hurts. He's been in impeccable form.

That said, Gravesen should get his chance as I'd like to see Pienaar stay out wide and run his markers ragged. So option 1 would be Gravesen slots right in for him.

Option 2 would be 4-4-2.

He's been very good this year and we need him back for the Christmas match fixtures. I say we just cut it off.

instrumental midfielder injured in the carling cup?

only weeks before another midfield first eleven starter is due to jet off to the ANC.

suddenly the midfield seems very stretched.

i'd like for us to stay 4-5-1

arteta to the left unless vdm or mcfadden step up and are willing to do the swapping flanks duty like ossie and pienaar currently do, because never really seen gravs or cahill overly effective from the wider midfield areas.

give ossie his due, he played on through the lesser cup game, and fought through it on saturday as well. love that dedication, its such a shame for him.

maybe moyes should get vogel in for training now so he is fit in january, instead of playing catch up at a later time.

I blame you for this, you cursed us!

Joking aside, this is exactly what you feared would happen! Judging from the predicted time out (4-6 weeks), suggests to me that he will hopefully be healed by 4 weeks time and could be back playing for when the ANC starts, possibly being rushed back a little. Perhaps they considered trying to get him to play thru it a la Joey but decided to let him rest it in order to be fit to take over when Pienaar leaves? I hope this is how it works out.

IMO Osman is one of the most underrated midfielders in the premier league, he has a great work ethic and has the technical ability to match, he has been on form recently and we're gonna' miss him alot. I think we need to bring in an attacking midfielder on loan until the end of the season, i was thinking about Stephen Appiah, we were gonna' buy him, so it would be a good chance to see if he fits into our team while osman & pienaar are away. Otherwise, Vogel would be a decent short term replacement for Osman... The thing im worried about, is if moyes goes back with Neville in midfield... I dread the day.
