Osmans performance

And the Evertonian swingometer flips to the right. You will have to find a new scapegoat now dickheads. Man up and own up.

I don't think many did. I think people criticised the midfield as a whole as being lightweight, but pretty much everyone acknowledged that Neville was weighing down Leon like the slow, horrible anchor he is.

And it isn't scapegoating when it's true - Osman has had off days at Everton and can be anonymous in games.

I think the main "problem" with Hibbert and Osman is we know what they can do, we have watched both of them for the last 10? Years, we have seen them at their best and we have defo seen them at their worst, so when they dont perform, we know they can do sooooooo much better.

Clearly its the same with all players and I generally hated both of them post-09 Cup Final, but they have both come back into the side and played VERY well at times, so I think I personally judge them at their best and sadly they dont always play to their best.

Im always extra harsh on Ossie tho, Hibbert has won me over more, maybe due to the fact that hes not playing as much recently, but I do feel the attacking/crossing side of his game has really improved the last Year.

But for me Osman has always been Osman, the ball at his feet hes a wizard, but hes so God damn lightweight at times.

Well done Ossie,I've always actually thought his game was more tailored to the International game than the hurly burly of the prem.

Sterling was a wasteful little [Poor language removed]

Hahaha!

I enjoy the hate in this statement, top marks!

True aswell.

Think Ossie should be in the squad over a lot of the other dross there is. Huddlestone for one. Thought him and Baines were our best players last night. No bias of course!

Ossie did really well, used the ball well, got into some good attacking positions, looked like he'd been part of the side for years.

Think he deserves a second cap to be honest. Better in those 90mins last night on his debut than what Cleverley has been the last few England matches.

Big thing is that Moyes for the most part played him on the wing. Where he is pretty awful.

Its only since Arteta, Cahill, Carsley, Gravo, etc all left and proper wingers have come in that hes really shown how good a central midfielder he is.

I thought Wellbeck played well and was probably MOM but Ossie was next best, looked very comfortable on the all ball all night.

I thought ossie played well he made some great runs first half that were not seen.
Baines was our best player last night he is looking good at the mo.

Based on what I have seen recently - I thought the full name was 'Cleverly Missed'.

Osman did well in a midfield and side captained by a player whose main aim seemed to bypass it and hoof it up the pitch.

Stevie Me always looks like he is playing through a migraine.

I only hope Ossie is ok for Sat - he worked hard & looked composed on the ball - He has clearly been overlooked in his career as England had no midfield for the last four years!

Deserves another call-up and I hope he gets it; otherwise in years to come when he gets the photos out of his only England appearance and beams with pride he's going to have to answer the question...'What's that on your top lip Grandad?'
