He’s a good knitter in possession and he has I’ll receive the ball under pressure and take responsibility all things I like.

Not great without the ball though and we have a tendency to be open when he’s in the team.

He's ok, he can pass the ball forwards, which is impressive by current Everton standards, he is very one paced, which in the absence of a quick midfield partner, would be a problem in a Dyche team. I think he'd suit playing in a three far more than a two. If his fee was less than £20 million, he would be worth a punt, we won't be playing Dyche ball for ever, but, if the €40 million is really what they want for a permanent move, I don't think he's worth it.

Think he is doing OK. Does not waste too many passes. Looks forward. Lack of pace but we couldn't complain about Gareth Barry. No I am not comparing them but just stating that IMO he is not too bad
Exactly this. When I watch him play I feel no angst against him, no love, only a pleasentness.
Looks like a friendly lad and doesn't seem to do anything wrong. What does he do right? I guess
not doing wrong is what he does right?

We've been bereft of midfield play for so long we can't even recognize a competent player when we see one.

We shouldn't be signing him permanently, but his displays should be the bare minimum we expect from the center of the park.

I quiet like him. If we had better passing option I think he would do well. He's very good at taking the ball under pressure and starting attacks. The only problem is we have no one to continue them.
