£35m the pair. And i still believe thats the right thing for us to do. I don't think Fellaini really wants to be here, and for that £35m, we'd be a better team without them.

I think we could get more than £35m, Rodwell for £25m and Fellaini for at least £30m, that'd give us £55m to spend on 4 to 5 high quality players...

Fellaini's injuries, willingness to leave and contract situation mean we'd do well to get over or around £20m for him. As for Rodwell, he's not lit the stage up at the Euro's like we'd hoped, he's yet to make a sustained contribution to our first team, we'll never get more than £15m for him. You can point to Jones and Henderson who were one of the first names on the sheet for their respective clubs and were doing very well, i'm sure they've both been involved in the full England team as well, which is more than can be said for Jack.

Sorry mate, and I don't mind being the only one who disagrees with you, but that is nonsense and it's lots of Evertonians who overestimate him simply because we spent £15M, which was way too much for his position in regards to value for our club.. A player like Fellaini, who misplaces tackles, passes, shots and gets booked and is generally trying to prove himself, is worth not even half of a player like Darren Fletcher, who has technique, can tackle (though he might not look as strong in doing so), and pass and shoot. There's no way Ferguson would buy Fellaini for even £10m, and that says it all. My first post on this matter says it all. If you're so confident we can get £15m for Fellaini, and that's real, then I say let's sell him. He's no Steven Gerrard and he's no Patrick Vieira. But I want him to stay and be part of a successful Everton future. But truly, he is not worth even £15m. £8m -10m maybe, to a certain type of team/club.

a word of advice don't go so deep with the cotton buds, there's a good lad.

Well observed Cookachoo. I think Rodwell in total has played 76 minutes or so over all three games in the U21's.

Felli is a regular starter in a Belgium side about to hit the highest level that country has been at for decades. Rodwell can't even make the starting eleven at U21 level, lest even be at all considered for the seniors.

Their status is the same at Everton. If felli is fit, he starts. Cause we build our team's movement and our set plays around him. He moves well and he scored 8 goals the season before this one. He's terrifying in the air and on the ground. Have you noticed how we play differently when he's on the field? He's a box-to-box target man for both attacking and defending purposes. This is why Davey paid such a huge wad of cash for him - he intended to build our team around Fellaini and that's exactly what he's doing. Rodwell, on the other hand, is still unproven but a lot more sellable and prone to get us a much higher fee.

Royal, you're arguing that selling your heart is better than selling one of your kidneys. Just the fact you're arguing the selling of vital organs is obviously a symptom, and a cause of, your crack addiction :D

i hope we dont loose either one, but i quess fellainis value would be something like £20-25m and rods about £15m. i would do anything to keep felli, we have to have some green, so rodwells move to manu could be ok for everybody, hurts to even say that but it is true. i quess

He's tall, he can pass as long as it's not a long pass, and he can tackle as long as it's easy. But he can't shoot from distance, he can't sprint, he's a niggly player who in this league might prove decent in a 5 man midfield. But you really think Alex Ferguson/Guardiola/Mourinho/even Dalglish would spend even £10m on him? Do me a favour! Let's be honest here. He's not that good. He is POTENTIALLY imposing, POTENTIALLY domineering, but he isn't any of those things yet. He is potential and nothing more right now. We are dreamin if we think any team is going to bid £25m for him, and I will stand by that statement for the next year. But I understand your love, cos I love him too. I want him to be ours and OURS only for the next four/five years. I want him to grow and grow and take charge of this team and prove himself. But no-1 is going to bid £20m for him right now, anyone who understands football will know that. I guarantee you if we sent out a letter saying Fellaini for £20M you can have him no team in the world would bid for him. Be realistic. And that's after we spent £15m on him. I'm only being honest and real.

am struggling here.....

Whatever guys. If Fellaini is worth £25m, or £30m then trust me Moyes would be selling him. He'd have money and get to keep Baines, Jags, Rodwell and the rest. No-one will pay that for Fellaini right now. If there's a club willing to pay even £20m for Fellaini right now, then let's sell him? I stand by what I said and I expected the abuse.

I don't think any club would be willing to fork out even £15m for him, and that's my own viewpoint and I believe it. The best thing that can be is he stays, becomes part of a fairly successful Everton team, and his value remains high or increases in case we need to sell or he truly wants to move on.

Knowing Everton, he won't sign a new contract unless it's a ridiculous £75k a week and we'll sell him in 12 months for £7.5m with 12 months left on his contract.

You say it's ridiculous but Arteta is on around that and has just had probably his worst season...

I'd rather sell Rodwell than Fellaini. Fellaini on form looks like one of the best players in the league and there's a reason why we paid £15m for him. I thought that when he played he was up there with Baines Jagielka (2nd half) and Distin in terms of his performances this season, but that's just me.

If they pay £20m for Jordan Henderson then you're looking at a good £30m for Fellaini in my mind, Henderson is good but he's not worth £20m by any stretch of the imagination. Fellaini is already an established international, unlike Henderson.

Is it just me that wouldnt wont to sell Fellaini for £30 mil. we need to build around him, he's been our best player when fit. Rodwell is just hype Fellaini is already there and only 23.

No Sorry. Rodwell hasn't had the luxury of consistent first team football in a stable team/formation. Rodwell has everything and more Fellaini has except the strength and aggression. Rodwell can dribble, shoot, has skill, is two-footed, can head the ball and is English. Fellaini is none of the above. He cannot dribble to save his life. He gets booked cos he gets frustrated and makes stupid challenges. We only got use out of him by basically playing long ball and sticking him up front. He can't pass more than 6 feet and he has no agility. One skilful turn the season before last against Man City and a fancy hair-do doesn't make him world-class. I don't understand why people are finding my point so hard to grasp. He is not even a sliding tackler. He is limited and we'd be extremely lucky to get £15m back and despite the crap I'm getting on here, I will be proved right, as I always am.

No team would snap our hands off or even bid £20m for Fellaini, and you guys need to get used to that fact.

I saw Tim Sherwood on Sky or ESPN after we'd bought him saying there was no way he'd expect Fellaini to be worth £15m, and he'd expect a lot more for that amount. I agree

Fellaini cost £15m but apart from his bullying strength and limited passing what does he offer? We need to keep both Fellaini and Rodwell and I feel the £15m on Fellaini will end up being a disaster. And I should add I would be the first to say that the wage we offered Arteta was ridiculous. And if we put Fellaini on the same wage, we are ****in ridiculous.

Why do you want him to stay if you basically think he's crap?

No mate, I don't think he's crap. I love him. I want him to stay and I don't care what we paid. But I am just being realistic in saying we won't get even our £15m back right now. I don't understand why Evertonians are so deluded as to think that Chelsea or Real Madrid are gonna pay £25m for Fellaini, now or ever. They are the only two clubs that would pay such a fee for him right now anyhow. I don't understand it. I want him to stay and form a central midfield partnership with Rodwell and I want them both to improve and realise how good they can be and how easy it can be for us to become one of the best teams in Europe with them.

I am right that no club would pay £20m or so for Fellaini right now. Totally right.

I don't want him to leave either but i think we'd get at the least r 15m back if we did sell, City would pay that easy, look how much we got for Lescott of them 22m was it? and no way is he worth that. Yeah maybe marouane isn't worth 20m or 25m right now but clubs are daft enough to pay big money thats why there would be a chance of clubs paying over the odds for him - example henderson 16m rising to 20m and he's not even that good!
