I think he'll be played with a ball over the top in mind though. I expect plenty of long diagonals from Schneiderlin to this feller. IIRC it happened already once or twice in that first half hour he played for us.

Giroud is much more than just a 'target man'.

Like Dzeko, he's just an excellent all-round striker, though he does lack pace.

His movement around the area is superb though, as is his finishing and hold up play.

They had Pelle up front, Tadic as a wide playmaker and Mane who was a fast, direct inside right type of player, but certainly not a winger

Not so sure that Koeman's preferred system relies on "wingers", but we could certainly do with our version of Mane, whoever that might be

I agree with you there, I think he's got enough in his locker that if he can slot consistently he will prevent us from using hoofball as Plan A though. Koeman will change it up depending on the team we play but I have faith in the little Spaniard.
