My wife has the same grandparents who is well known - that's why I could locate the photos easily they were in contact many years ago she helped him out on his family tree etc - his family & Grandparents lived in that area My wife's grandmother was swept over a ferry to her death ....

An intriguing and yet sad image shows the former Campfield Pub on Heyworth Street, now a mini supermarket. The devastation of all the surrounding streets perfectly sums up the street clearances that unfolded from the 1960s, while on the opposite side of Heyworth Street the modern Everton Park begins to take root -
