Old Photos Of Where You Live

When I worked for the corpy as a flagger me and my labourer use to push a hand cart around the streets of Liverpool with all our tools in it. We would have to find somewhere safe to leave it overnight which wasn’t easy. No effin horses for us.
It wasn’t a good look was it. My mates used to get the piss taken out them every time they pushed that cart about.

…ha, ha. I suspect I’ve posted that picture previously.

it was an island at the top of my old street, I remember it so well. It housed public toilets and a taxi rank. Hippodrome cinema and Grant Gardens opposite (previously the Necropolis cemetery).
Went to the Saturday morning matinées many a time. Yo yo competititions included. Ace

….you must’ve been local too. Saturdays were always school footy and Everton, so wasn’t a regular watching Roy Rodgers & Zorro. I do recall seeing Dr No on ’Hippy’, must’ve been early ‘60s (came out 1962).
I wasn't old enough for school footy in the time I went there mate 😭
