Right on the edge of the Precinct opposite another pub - expensive pint back then ....

On Wilson road, named after Harold Wilson - the local MP from Yorkshire -

Where our Derby game is named from - as Lord Derby was an invited guest way back & the name of the game stuck -

Remember, many a time, legging it across that road cos the 6C was coming. Don't know why really. There were so many buses in those days it would probably only been a 5 - 10 min wait for the H8 or something ...

Just to think that little Anglia has driven through Europe, brave lad. My Dad's one used to break down going to New Brighton lol
