My late Father & his grandfather came from Vauxhall road - he was as hard as nails - he & his brother 6ft 2 were feared in that area ....

Both of them were street fighters if need be ....

Used to go up Bidston Hill a lot when we were kids, one set of Grandparents lived in West Kirby!

…..remember doing Thurstaston Hill as a kid and getting stuck on Hilbre Island when on a school trip in ‘60s.

That air raid tunnel on Bidston Hill is still there to this day, along with many others like under the Littlewoods building on Edge Lane.
