….when governments and councils don’t invest in public services, it’s what you get. Not sure if any park has a ‘cocky watchman’ anymore but they helped keep the place respectable. Cutting cost just means cutting standards.

Our next door neighbour in a run-down terraced road in Huyton - used to do her step like that then paint it bright orange every so often ....
Sayers - they supplied Goodison once with pies etc - sadly gone now bought out by that pie pound shop place ? - Cousins was another fine bakery in Liverpool - they went too - their larger shops had a side café -
