What is that building on the right that looks like a church? Never remember that being there or is this picture from ages ago?

Despite looking like the set for "28 Days After" this was Liverpool city centre on a very dull and miserable Saturday afternoon in 1975. This was a 1961 PD2, ex-Liverpool Corporation, now Merseyside PTE. Unusually, the aluminium body panels have mostly been left unpainted. Visible behind (apart from a distinctive Liverpool Atlantean) is an ex-Birkenhead Titan and a Ribble Titan.

You're right mate, it is St John's Church. It was demolished around 1899 to make way for St John's Gardens which opened in 1906 I think. The 25,000 + bodies buried when it was the church and graveyard still remain beneath the gardens.
