Alan Ball the ultimate competitor, demanding the best of himself on the pitch every game. One of the greatest players the country has ever produced.

Gary Speed, Andrei Kanchelskis... Joe Parkinson is often overlooked in threads like this.

The sound of clattering seats when everyone inside Goodison stood up when Rooney got the ball was quite something.

Dixie Dean, Alan Ball, Neville Southall, all players who would be world class in any era.

Joe for me too .

I've said it many times before , the whole 1985 side was in my opinion , the greatest Everton side ever to grace Goodison, big Nev , Gary Stevens , you had to see him to believe him , lighting fast , rats , mounts , pat van , even inchy before he got injured. I wish that in all young evertonians, they get the chance to see , what we witnessed. For it really was , the school of science.
