Thomas George 'T. G.' Jones, former Wales football international, who won the Football League First Division with Everton in the 1938-39 season. Jones was a former captain of Everton and highly respected at the club, where he is considered to be one of their greatest ever players. Later, he was instrumental in establishing Connah’s Quay Juniors (later re-named Connah’s Quay Nomads) as a successful club in Welsh football.
