If it is - thousands of blues scaled the walls to get in for that game - my late father was one of them - he stated the Oldham officials pourd hot tar down the walls to stop blues fans getting in - they just raided the newsagents & purchased newspapers to stick onto the tar to still get in 3-0 at half-time & we needed one more goal in the 2nd half to win the old 2nd division title - we could not score ....
We went up as runners-up & the other lot in division one over the park got relegated - we swapped places with them & held our own ever since they were in that lower division for nearly a decade ....
