Greenwood was very diplomatic and very correct with his observations that standing areas could be made safe whilst recognising that legislation had to be followed. I hadn't realised that the Paddock had been slated for conversion to all seating before the Taylor Report. Two family friends stopped going after that, it was too much of a change for them after 50 years standing by the alphabet scores.
When I went to the Ground tour - The seating with the grand old lady empty did not feel correct - it was never built for seats on the terraces Goodison - it just did not look right IMO ....

Enjoyed that, as kids, a friends Dad knew Andy from school and had played in same team(Drumchapel Amateur's) before Andy went Pro at Dundee Utd.
Anyhoo! His Dad got complimentary tickets through Andy for a game at Goodison against Man Utd and took us down, 5-0 Everton!! And hence why I've had an interest in Everton ever since.
