What a remarkable picture taken 84 years ago showing Dixie Dean of Sligo Rovers F.C. scoring against Shelbourne Football Club at Dalymount Park during the 1939 FAI Cup Final. The game ended 1-1 and Shelbourne would win the replay. Dean only played 7 games for Rovers but notched up 10 goals while he was at it.
