Some emotion at that game I recall.

Sunderland v Everton December 1921, picture on right is Jock Mcdonald, the captain of the Toffees during this season, paper claims this is Dick Downs however he didn't play however great imagines from the North star considering its 101 years old

Born 116 years ago, today, John Ross ‘Jock’ Thomson. One of the Toffees’ most loyal servants. After a couple of seasons in the wilderness he came back in to captain the club to the title in 1938/39. Seen here, sporting a great quiff, with Dixie Dean, Tosh Johnson and others -
